Soo Ji Lee

As the first prize winner of the Seoul International Piano Competition, the Diablo Symphony Orchestra’s Yen Liang Young Artist piano concerto competition, and the New Albany Symphony Orchestra’s Young Artist piano concerto competition, pianist Soo Ji Lee is recognized and acclaimed as a “pianist with extreme virtuosity and fire with supreme musicality.”

Soo Ji Lee started piano at the age of eleven and studied at the Victoria Conservatory of Music with renowned concert pianists, May Ling Kwok and Dr. Yoomi Kim in Canada. Over the past years, Soo Ji has delighted and entertained in international competitions and is the recipient of many awards and scholarships. In 2021, Soo Ji won many awards including the grand prize at the NY International Music Competition, International Music Competition, OPUS in Poland, and North International Music Competition in Sweden. Soo Ji has performed frequently in Canada, South Korea, and the United States as a concert pianist, soloist with orchestra, chamber musician, and master-class artist.

Soo Ji received her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance with honors and a Minor in Dalcroze Eurhythmics from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she studied under world-renowned pianists Antonio Pompa-Baldi and Emanuela Friscioni. Through her studies at the Peabody Conservatory, Lee completed the Master of Music and Graduate Performance Diploma in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy with master pedagogue, Benjamin Pasternack. Soo Ji is currently a doctorate candidate at the Cleveland Institute of Music under the guidance of Professor Kathryn Brown.

Joshua Lee

Joshua Lee, 14, began playing the violin under the guidance of his mom, Jooyeon Han, at the age of 7. He is currently a member of the Phoenix Youth Symphony Orchestra (PYSO) and the concertmaster of his school orchestra (BASIS Chandler, AZ). He won multiple awards in recent national music competitions (junior division) including the String Competition of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) (2nd place in National competition; 2021-22, 2nd place in Southwest Division; 2022-23), OPUS Music Competition (1st place in National competition; 2022 and 2023). He debuted as a soloist with the Chandler Symphony Orchestra in 2022.

Other notable awards include 1st place awards in the following competitions: New York International Classical Music Competition (2023), International Grande Music Competition (2022 and 2023), American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition (with Distinction Award; 2022), Annual Young Musicians Concerto Competition by Phoenix Youth Symphony Orchestra (2022 and 2023), Arizona Musicfest Strings, Harp & Guitar Competition (2022 and 2023), Chandler Youth Symphony Competition (2022), American Protégé Concerto Competition (2021), US New Star Strings Competition (with Grand Prize; 2021), and Solo Competition of the American String Teachers Association Arizona (2020).

He had masterclasses with Margaret Batjer, Andrew Shulman, Fabio Bidini from Los Angeles Piano Trio (2023), Daniel Phillips, Steven Tenenbom from Orion Quartet (2023), Grace Park and Katie Hyun from Manhattan Chamber Players (2022).

Avery Armstrong

Avery Armstrong has studied at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music's Pre-College Division since the age of six where she began with Annamarie McCarthy and currently studies with Dr. Chia-Lin Yang. She has participated in numerous international competitions and recitals, including Grand Prize win in the 2023 American Soloist International Music Competition, First Prize in the 2023 KAMSA Competition, Third Prize in the Pacific Musical Society and Foundation, First Prize in the 2022 Chicago International Music Competition, First Prize in 2022 USIMC (United States International Music Competition), First Prize in 2022 International New Star Piano Competition, Grand Prize in 2022 Prodigy International Music Competition, Grand Prize in 2022 New York Laureate International Music Competition, Grand Prize in 2022 New York International Young Musician Competition, Grand Prize in 2022 New York International Classical Music Competition, First Prize in 2022 Elite International Music Competition, First Prize in 2022 Crescendo International Music Competition, First Prize in American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition, and more.
